Every year, when I return to my birthplace, Armenia, renowned for hosting hundreds of storks, I feel a deep sense of belonging and connection, much like these migratory birds. In nesting season, white storks migrate from Europe, and nest in villages near Ararat wetlands. When suitable trees are unavailable, they perch their nests on top of homes, electric poles, and even monuments.
